If you don't already have an Atlassian account: [create one now](http://go.atlassian.com/cloud-dev).

## Create an API Token

Log in to your [Atlassian account](https://id.atlassian.com).

Navigate to **Security** and select **Create and manage API tokens**.

Click the **Create API token** button.

Provide a name or **label** for your token and click the **Create** button.

Click **View** if you would like to see the token and click **Copy to clipboard** button.
