# Prerequisites

The examples and sample code provided in this workshop are intended to be consumed as instructional content. These will help you understand how various AWS services can be architected to build a solution while demonstrating best practices along the way. These examples are not intended for use in production environments.

In order to get started with this workshop, please complete the following steps first:

* [Setup AWS Event Engine (Optional)]({{< ref "/01_Prerequisites/12_AWSEventEngine.md" >}}) - Only relevant if you're attending this workshop as part of an AWS event.
* [Setup a Lightrun Account]({{< ref "/01_Prerequisites/13_LightrunAccountSetup.md" >}}) - Create a Lightrun Account (or use an existing one) and configure it according to the needs of the workshop.
