--- title: "Introduction" chapter: true weight: 10 --- # Introduction ## Learning objectives This is a hands-on workshop that guides you through a set of examples familiar to the creation and deployment of cloud resources. We're adding security scans and fixes to the process as something to add to your workflow, illustrating how security does not have to be hard. Who should take this workshop? * Developers * DevOps Engineers * Solutions Architects * Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) * Anyone that wants to learn more about security! ## Workshop Structure In this workshop, we'll perform activities related to the creation and deployment cloud resources managed by Infrastructure as Code. When we scan those resources for vulnerable misconfigurations, we'll also observe exploits in our running environment before and after we fix them. The outline below summarizes what we'll be covering in this workshop.
- Prerequisites **(15 minutes)** - Module 1: Snyk Scanning plus Terraform **(30 minutes)** - Module 2: HashiCorp Terraform Cloud plus Snyk Run Tasks **(30 minutes)** {{% notice warning %}} The examples and sample code provided in this workshop are intended to be consumed as instructional content. These will help you understand how various AWS services can be architected to build a solution while demonstrating best practices along the way. These examples are not intended for use in production environments. {{% /notice %}} ### Next Section: Problem Statement Next we'll introduce why solving the problem of deploying secure infrastructure is important to you and your team.
